Delete your Verse Copilot account
Verse Copilot is made by Verse Copilot LLC. Here is how to delete your account, and what happens to your information.
Deleting your account is permanent. We can't bring it back. When it's done, we email you a confirmation.
In the phone app
This works the same on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
- Open Verse Copilot and sign in.
- Tap the Account tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- If you sign in with an email and password, type your password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, sign in with it again when asked.
- Tap Delete.
On the website
- Go to versecopilot.net and sign in.
- Open Settings, then the Advanced tab.
- Under Account Management, select Delete Account.
- Type DELETE to confirm. If you sign in with an email and password, enter your password too.
- Select Delete Account again.
Church owners and admins can delete from Settings. If you have another role on your team, use the phone app, or email us.
Can't sign in?
Email support@versecopilot.net from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll reply, and there is no charge.
What we delete
When you confirm, we delete:
- Your sign-in and your account details.
- Your chat history with Micah, our support chat.
- Your account settings, including the notification setup for your phone.
You are signed out everywhere.
If you own the church's account
The owner is the person who set up the church's account. Deleting the owner's account closes the whole church account.
- Your subscription is cancelled. Refunds follow our Terms of service.
- We delete your church's songs, slides, presets, services, photos, videos, and History.
- The computers on your account are removed.
- Your team is removed. The other people keep their own accounts, but lose access to your church.
Leaving your church but want it to carry on? On the Team page, choose Hand over ownership first. Then delete your own account.
If you are not the owner
You leave the team. Your church keeps its songs, slides, presets, photos, videos, and services, because they belong to the church. Your church's History keeps a record of the changes you made for about 13 months. It shows you as a former member, without your name.
What we keep
- Saved audio. If your church chose to keep audio and transcripts from services, deleting an account does not delete them. Email us from the church owner's address and we'll delete them.
- Usage and crash information. We keep it until you ask us to delete it. Email us and we will.
- Billing and tax records. We keep the ones we are required to keep.
- A few records of what happened. We keep the version of our Terms you accepted and when, our own log of what our staff did on your church's account, notes from our support team, and your church's answer about saved audio. We use them only if a question or complaint comes up later. We keep them until the time for that has passed, then delete them.
- Copyright complaints. If we removed something from your church because of a complaint, we keep a copy until 30 days after the complaint closes. We keep the case record for four years after it closes.
- Backups. Copies in our backups are removed when they age out on their normal cycle.
The full details are in our Privacy policy (section 8, Data Retention).
